The avatar behind the broadcast

During variety game streams I use a 3D VTuber avatar. Which I created along with the software that runs it by myself. Some of the outfits and items shown are free in the public domain. Though most have been modified or edited to various extent to fit and look fitting to the avatar.

Asset breakdown

Our primary models and props

Avatar

Model Created in Blender

The avatar was hand crafted, modelled and rigged in Blender. With the use of a Wacom drawing tablet for modeling and painting.

Interaction and Animation

Avatar Animated in Unity

Once the avatar was completed in Blender I created a personal application in the Unity game engine to animate and interact with my avatar.

Broadcast

Broadcasted to you via OBS

Finally the avatar is streamed from the Unity app into the OBS streaming application with a transparent background. So, you can finally see it live on streams.
